These terms govern your use of Kampe — our website, app, and services (together, "Kampe"). By creating an account or using Kampe, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Kampe
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Kampe is built primarily for people in Nigeria who earn and hold money in more than one currency.
2. Your account
Keep your login details secure and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@kampe.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Connecting your money sources
When you link an account (for example through Mono), use the Kampe browser extension on a provider's own dashboard, or import a statement, you authorise Kampe to access that information on a read-only basis, so we can display and organise it. You confirm you're entitled to share that information. You can disconnect any source at any time. Kampe cannot and will not initiate payments or move funds.
4. Not financial advice
Everything Kampe shows — including safe-to-spend, net worth, goals, and FX conversions — is for information and planning only. FX figures are indicative and shown with their rate and timestamp. Numbers may be estimates and can differ from your providers. Decisions you make are your own; if you need advice, speak to a licensed professional.
5. Payments, Kampe Pro & refunds
Kampe is free to use, with an optional paid plan (Kampe Pro). Current prices are shown on our pricing page before you pay.
- Auto-renewal. Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. The one-off Founder plan is a single payment, not a subscription.
- Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from the app. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for; we don't charge you again after that.
- Refunds. Because Pro is a digital service you can use immediately, payments are generally non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If you were charged in error, or a renewal you meant to cancel slipped through, email hello@kampe.app within 14 days and we'll put it right.
- Price changes. We'll give you notice before any price change applies to a renewal, so you can decide whether to continue.
Payments are handled by our processors — Paystack (naira) and Stripe (US dollars). Your card details go directly to them; Kampe never sees or stores your card number. See our Privacy Policy for how payment data is handled.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't misuse Kampe, attempt to break its security, or access data that isn't yours.
- Don't use Kampe for anything unlawful, or upload data you don't have the right to share.
- Don't copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the service except as the law allows.
7. Third-party services
Kampe relies on third parties such as account-aggregation providers (e.g. Mono), payment processors (Paystack, Stripe), messaging providers, and the Uphiva community platform. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services, and we're not responsible for them.
8. Availability & changes
Kampe is offered on an early-access basis and is improving quickly. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may occasionally have downtime for maintenance. We aim to give notice of significant changes but can't guarantee uninterrupted service.
9. Intellectual property
Kampe, its name, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You keep ownership of the data you add; you grant us the permission needed to run the service for you.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Kampe is provided "as is". We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the information shown. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.
11. Suspension & termination
You can stop using Kampe and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or where necessary to protect users or comply with the law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the Nigerian courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Kampe after a change means you accept the updated terms.
